Lunch and Kick-off

We will start with a kick-off reception at Herensociëteit "De Vereeniging" Mariaplaats 14 Utrecht. This location is the starting point for the site visits per track. Please make sure that you are at Heerensociëteit no later than 12:45 hr because from here you will be guided to the buses. You will receive a take-away lunch when going to the bus. The bus will drive you to the different site visits per track.

Track 1: Utrecht Science Park/Utrecht Life Sciences

Track 2: Future Society

This track includes site-visits to:

  • National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM)- The RIVM is the Netherlands's governmental institute that uses its knowledge and skills to protect and promote the health of Dutch citizens and the environment they live in. 
  • The Selfregulation Lab: a joint project by the Municipality of Utrecht, Stichting Nieuw Welgelegen and the Utrecht University.
  • YOUth Child Expertise Center.YOUth is a large-scale, long-term cohort study. YOUth follows children from before birth until the age of 18. This large-scale longitudinal cohort study with repeated measurements consists of two independent but related samples from the general population. The YOUth Child Expertise Center is an initiative of the UMC Utrecht, the University Utrecht and the Consortium on Individual Development.

Track 3: Creative innovations for Healthy living

This track offers site-visits to:

  • U CREATE - Centre of Expertise Creative Industries
  • BeBright - Presentation of the Dutch ‘Diagnosis Nutrition & Health’ programme and accelerator of impactful innovations and visionary insights on nutrition and health. Dialogue on innovative (project) plans that address the European societal - nutrition related - health challenges.
  • Jaarbeurs Innovation Mile (JIM)- JIM is a new innovation Hub and co-working space at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht with a strong focus on meeting and interaction. JIM offers scale-ups and other innovators a community to work together and a place to meet. JIM offers strong programming with the community and partners.
  • Musictechnological projects for diagnostics and therapy for children with autism in cooperation with UMCU, educational music software for sight impaired children with Connect2Music foundation.
  • Guided tour School of Music and Technology
  • Guided tour School of Games and Interaction (with demonstration)
  • UMC Utrecht's corporate program Applied Data Analytics in Medicine (ADAM).
